Thankful for SBC Cooperative Program

Well, my seminary classes official start this week - I am extremely excited and honored to be here at Midwestern and serving and studying about our Lord Jesus, through the Southern Baptist convention.

I know that most of you who read this blog probably are members of a SBC church; so I just wanted to take a few minutes and thank you for your support of the cooperative program. There are a few distinctives (some small, others fairly large) which separate SBC from other protestant denominations, and one of the large ones is the cooperative program.

I truly believe that the SBC cooperative program is unmatched and that God is using it to do amazing and wonderful things across the globe. But, on a more personal note, your church's support of the cooperative program is allowing me to attend seminary here at Midwestern, and for that, I am extremly grateful.

God bless.

Chris

Apartment Slowly Becoming Home

This place is really starting to feel like home. We're learning how to get around, we know where the closest Walmart and Target are at, and the apartment is slowly being transformed into our home.

The one thing we're having a hard time doing is finding a church. LifeSpring was such an amazing local church; it's very difficult trying to find a church without comparing it to LifeSpring. We attended Lenexa Baptist church last Sunday and it was very nice, I could see it becoming our new church home; however, there were a ton of people. We had to take a shuttle to church, because there wasn't any parking in the parking lot :-)

It's been really great to get phone calls from you; we miss you all.

UPDATE:
We'll be coming back to Omaha Thursday late afternoon. Just a warning, we may drop in and see some of you.

We can't express how much we're going to miss seeing all of you. We have never had better friends than we've made here and it is going to be extremely difficult to leave. Please stay in touch and we'll keep you updated on dates when we'll be back.

It has truly been a blessing to know each of you and may God continue to bless you and your families. We love you.
